Inside the Learning Process at Global Sevilla School
To win over parents and help children enjoy going to school, Global Sevilla School offers a series of step-by-step learning programs that keep pace with each child's growth and development. The learning activities at Global Sevilla School also follow international standards of proven quality. For the full picture, here is how the Global Sevilla School curriculum and learning process work at each stage.
Early Years Process
The first stage of learning at Global Sevilla School is the Early Years program. Here, expert teachers guide children every step of the way so they can grow and develop well. Children learn social interaction from an early age, and they learn in groups to sharpen their sensory and motor skills. The Early Years program also teaches children positive core values, so they develop in line with what society expects of them.
In the Early Years Process, children follow a learning and character development method called the Mindfulness Programme. Building character from an early age is essential, because it helps children solve problems calmly and with a cool head. The program works best when it starts early, so children can keep adapting quickly at every stage of their development.
Primary School Process
The next stage at Global Sevilla School is the Primary School Process. At this stage, children learn to be more independent and take a more active part in their learning. Global Sevilla School combines two main curricula: the standard government curriculum and the Cambridge Primary curriculum, which puts more emphasis on general knowledge in English, science and mathematics.
In the Primary School Process, children also learn ICT (information and communications technology) through hands-on practice in the computer lab, so they can handle simple tasks on a computer.
Another part of the Primary School stage is instilling CBRC values, also described as character building, religion and social values. As in the Early Years program, children continue the Mindfulness Programme, which helps them come to know themselves through their own experiences.
Secondary School Process
The next stage in the Global Sevilla School learning process is secondary school. Here the focus shifts to learning that involves deeper research. Students spend more time on hands-on learning, such as running experiments in the lab, going on field trips and taking part in activities where they find solutions on their own online.
Early in this stage, students prepare for the Cambridge Checkpoint Examination, which covers 3 subjects: English, mathematics and science. After that, they prepare for the Cambridge IGCSE exams and Indonesia's National Examination, which they will take later on.
In the Secondary School Process, students also take their language studies further. They learn advanced English, English conversation and Mandarin. To keep students active in language learning, Global Sevilla School also runs a School's Project every semester. Through the School's Project, students are expected to build their creativity and entrepreneurial skills.
